0x01 Project Overview
This is a DApp built on the Solana chain. To start making money with STEPN, players must first obtain a pair of NFT running shoes.
After the running shoes are ready, the player can start to Move to earn. After the player presses Start on the DApp, maintains the moving speed within the optimal speed to automatically obtain tokens after pressing the stop button (currently only open for earning). GST tokens).
STEPN will use GPS tracking, motion sensors, etc. to determine whether players have cheated and punish them. In order to avoid excess supply of tokens, the official will limit the endless earning of coins.
There are two limitations in the game mechanism of Move to earn, namely “daily energy limit” and “daily reward limit”. The tokens obtained are divided into platform coins GST and GMT.
- Daily energy cap: When starting running/walking, one energy is consumed approximately every five minutes, and the user can only M2E when energy is available, although 25% is replenished every 6 hours after energy consumption, there is still daily energy upper limit. To earn more, just buy a few more pairs of sneakers.
- Daily reward cap: When the earned Token reaches the upper limit, even if there is still energy, the Token cannot be obtained, and the reward cap must be reset after waiting time. Players will initially only be able to earn 5 GST per day, with a daily token cap of up to 300 GST and 15 GMT. Users can increase their daily token cap by upgrading their sneakers.0x02 Token model

0x03(Green Satoshi Token)
Mainly obtained through Move to earn, GST token itself has no upper limit of supply.
Its purpose is to pay for the medium in the various functions of the platform, and the GST used for payment will be destroyed and permanently deducted from circulation.
0x04 Green Metaverse Token
GMT is STEPN’s governance token and also a payment medium for some high-level functions, with a total of 6 billion tokens. Not yet released.
According to official information, 30% of the shares will be allocated to “Move to earn” and “Governance Rewards” first, but GMT is the same as GST, and the GMT used to pay for in-game functions will be destroyed and permanently removed from circulation.
The official said that GMT’s Move to earn reward distribution will not be started until GMT is listed on the exchange and STEPN’s daily active users reach a certain threshold.
In addition, in order to prevent the GMT production rate from being too fast, the GMT Move to earn reward will be halved every three years.
0x05 Shoe Type
Walker、Jogger、Runner、Trainer. Players can choose the corresponding shoe type according to their own needs, and the speed of activating M2E will be different for different shoe types. For example, walking shoes-Walker is the best speed when the speed is 1 to 6 kilometers per hour, and the moving speed within this range can get Token rewards. If it exceeds or falls below, the reward efficiency will drop significantly. In addition, the Token rewards available for different shoe types will be different. The basic principle is that the higher the optimal speed, the more rewards.
0x06 Attributes:
Each pair of shoes has four attributes of efficiency, luck, comfort and elasticity. Efficiency — will directly affect the GST income. Under the condition of consuming the same energy, the higher the efficiency attribute, the more GST you will get; luck — determines the frequency and quality of airdrops of the mysterious box. Rent to others to get Mystery Box airdrops; Comfort — Comfort attributes are being redesigned and still in development, but expected to be related to GMT Token revenue; Elastic — Sneakers wear out with every use and players must repair them regularly. The elasticity affects the durability and repair cost of sports shoes. The higher the elasticity, the less wear and tear per use, and the lower the repair cost.
Currently there is only a single player mode, other modes are in development. In single-player mode, users can earn Tokens by walking/running with NFT sneakers. Players only need to press Start and maintain the movement speed within the optimal speed range to automatically obtain Tokens after pressing the stop button. right now, only GST is available for earning.
